Rosalie VESPA Obituary

VESPA, Rosalie passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024. Lily retired from Hillsborough County Schools after 24 years as a Data Processing Clerk. She enjoyed her weekly trips to the former La Tropicana and Café Caribe where she visited with her coffee club. Lily also enjoyed her Friday night dinners and playing dominoes. She loved to dance to the music of the big band era and her favorite music idol was Frank Sinatra. Lily enjoyed numerous vacations with her lifelong friends, Joe and Ann Voskercian. Her most valuable time was spent with her grandson and her two great-grandchildren. Lily was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Vincent G. Vespa. She is survived by her son, Vincent M. Vespa; daughter, Vicki Howcroft (Gary Howcroft); grandson, Christopher Howcroft (Nilka Howcroft) and two great-grandchildren, CJ and Makayla Howcroft. Lily was the baby of nine children. She was predeceased by her parents, Vincenzo and Rosalia Ippolito; brothers, Joe, Jake, John, Angelo and Tony Ippolito; sisters, Josephine Shephard and Frances Gonzalez. Lily is survived by her oldest sister, Mary Barja; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation or Lifepath Hospice. Funeral services will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery 4207 Lake Ave. Tampa, Fl 33610 Monday November 4, 2024. Visitation is at 10 am, Service at 11 am.
