Ruby COOK

COOK, Ruby Jordan 85, passed away on Aug. 8, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Born on November 16, 1938, in Carroll County, Georgia, Ruby was a cherished member of the Temple Terrace community since 1973. Ruby dedicated 27 years of her life to the Hillsborough County School Board as a para-professional, where she impacted many lives with her dedication and work ethic. She was known for her feisty, tenacious spirit and her self-reliant nature. A loving mother and grandmother, Ruby's family was the center of her world. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Deborah Eisenberg and her husband Randy; son, Charlie Cook; grandchildren, Max and Maddie Eisenberg, Katie Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James M. Cook. An avid reader, Ruby also enjoyed puzzles and was a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning, showcas-ing her love for local sports. Honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Ruby requested that those who knew her raise a glass in her honor, celebrating a life well-lived and dearly remembered.
