Ruby Presley

PRESLEY, Ruby L. of Tampa, passed away Feb. 10, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at 2 pm at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 West Grace Street. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Mrs. Ruby L. Presley was born in Manatee County to the late George Phillips and Catherine Sims on Oct. 17, 1928. She was married to the late Bunch "Butch" Presley. Mrs. Pressley attended schools in Manatee and Hillsborough Counties, graduating from Don Thompson High School. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and was employed as a school teacher with the Hillsborough County School Board for 35 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted daughters, Lujana Dale Powell and Linda Darlene Powell (Johnnie Tyson, Jr.), Wanda Gwyn (Warren); and others. The remains will repose after 5 pm Friday, Feb. 17, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Arrangements entrusted to Ray Williams Funeral Home, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
