Ruth Gallup Obituary

GALLUP, Ruth F. 87, of Tampa passed away Oct. 28, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Ruth was born June 20, 1922, in Irwin, PA, to Albert Fink and Ellen Walton. She was employed with U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, PA and retired after many years of service. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm; sisters Bena May and Betsy. She is survived by her son, Robert (Sue) Gallup; grandchildren, Robin Bouchard and Sherri Herbert; daughter-in-law Kimberly (Guy) Cerro; brother-in-law, Stacy Gongaware; niece, Natalie Baker; nephews, Terry and Bob Gongaware. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Nov. 1, 2009, at Horizon Bay Assisted Living facility, 414 Chapman Rd., E. Lutz, FL 33549. The family ask in lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to American Heart Association, 9900 Dr. Martin L. King, St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33716 in Ruth's memory.
