Salvatore Capitano Obituary

CAPITANO, Salvatore "Sam" US Army 90, of Valrico was met at the gates to Heaven by his loving wife of 59 years, Sylvia on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Sam was Honorably Discharged from the US National Guard (1953) and the US Army (1961) where he fulfilled his duties to America. After being discharged Sam went back to work on the family farm, the Capitano-Diecidue Dairy. He was also employed by Devoe Paint where he worked for many years along side his wife Sylvia. Sam eventually retired and became the Bay area scrap man where on Fridays he could be found at local shops picking up scrap metal to haul it off to the scrap yards. Sam leaves behind his five boys, Sammy, Pete, John (Margie), Michael (Karla), David (Corie); one sister, Betty Hardy; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Stowers Funeral Home
