Suzanne GAME
GAME, Suzanne Linebaugh passed away on June 3, 2021, at the age of 86, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a caring sister to Isbon Giddens Linebaugh, Jr., beloved mother to her children P. Richard (Dick) Game and Pamela Game (deceased 2021), and loving grandmother to Hope, Allison, Caroline, and Phillip Game. Suzanne was born in Tampa, Florida to Isbon Giddens Linebaugh, Sr. and Elizabeth Cone Linebaugh. She attended H. B. Plant High School in Tampa and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University with degrees in English and Education. She later earned a Master of Arts in Specific Learning Disabilities from the University of South Florida. Suzanne embarked on a career as an educator, teaching variously at H.B. Plant High School, St. John's Episcopal Parish Day School, Adams Jr. High School in Tampa, and Highlands School in North Carolina. Suzanne's green thumb was unmatched, and she could identify every plant and wildflower in the Southeast. She was fed by a deep connection to nature, especially while living in Hayesville, North Carolina later in life. Suzanne enjoyed gardening, observing wildlife and breathing in crisp mountain air. She loved animals, especially stray cats with whom she shared love, care, and companionship, along with her home. Suzanne's gentle compassion will be greatly missed. Suzanne and her daughter, Pamela (Pam) Nell Game, will be honored in a Memorial Service and Celebration of life on June 17 at 7 pm at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Dunwoody, Georgia. Masks and registration for the service are required. Please register at if possible, or on site. In lieu of flowers, her family asks for donations to American Humane Ways to Give - American Humane - American Humane, or a wildlife preservation or animal rescue organization of your choice. Suzanne and Pam will also be remembered with thanksgiving at a service on July 17 at 5 pm at St. John's Episcopal Church in Tampa, Florida.
