Thomas Dodd Obituary

DODD, Thomas Allen, 85, of Raiford, passed away peacefully at the Winsor Manor Care Center in Starke, after an extended illness. He was born in Bowie, Md., living most of his life in Palmetto, Fla., he moved to Raiford in 2007. He was the son of the late Edward Dodd and Mary Ellen Utz Dodd. He owned and operated a sewing machine shop before he retired. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church at Raiford. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Margaret Singletary Dodd; three daughters, Yvonne Jerman of Maryland, Joyce Cox Crawford of Raiford and Janet Reynolds of Palm Coast; two sons, Roy and Glen Singletary, both of Raiford; one brother, Lewis Dodd of Bowie, Md.; two sisters, Virginia Schauron of California and Ester Frayer of New York; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fellowship Baptist Church at Raiford with the Rev. Harold Hudson officiating. Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. right before the services, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala, Fla., with the Rev. John Downing conducting the graveside services.
