Vincent "Rudy" DOMINGUEZ

DOMINGUEZ,, Vincent "Rudy", 86, passed away Friday November 9, 2012. Rudy was an Ybor City, FL native and lifelong resident of Tampa. He graduated from Jesuit High School and was a U.S Marine Veteran of the Pacific campaign during World War II. He and his wife Isabel (Issie) raised four daughters and a son. He was a tile setter by trade, finishing his working career with the City of Tampa. He now joins his beloved Issie who preceded him in death along with his brother, Danilo. "Pop" was the patriarch of a large family that loved him very much. He is survived by his one sister, Iliana Villa (Joe) and his 5 children; Sandra Alonso (Joe), Denise Cona (Rick), Julie Dominguez, Valenda Tate (Mike), Emilio Dominguez (Lowella); 13 grandchildren, Joseph Alonso, Dana King, Danny Alonso, Vincent Dominguez, Lauren Cavicchi, Taryn Menendez, Ryan Betancourt, Ricky Cona, Amber Tate, Michael Tate, Evan Dominguez, Alyssa Dominguez, Anna Dominguez; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will celebrate his life and receive friends from 9am-10am with a church service to follow on Monday, November 12th, 2012, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 1711 East 11th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605. A private burial will follow at the Centro Asturiano Cemetery. The pallbearers are Joseph Alonso, Danny Alonso, Vincent Dominguez, Ryan Betancourt, Ricky Cona, Mikey Tate, Brandon Alonso, Justin Alonso, and Evan Dominguez. Flowers will be accepted.
