I´m so sorry about this great loss, Aunt Betty, cousins Amy & David. Uncle Bill was a man among men; he was so wise, honorable, loving, patient and always kind. He was a devoted Father and Husband along with being a playful & creative Dad, Grandfather & Uncle who took the time to teach and to mentor. When Wes and I were young children (his brother, Gene´s family), every Holiday dinner & family celebration were spent together with our cousins Amy & David. Later as retirees Bill & Gene owned mountain land together & also separately owned homes which were ATV distance across the creek branch & valley in Franklin, NC. They enjoyed learning the ancient ways of farmers in NC through the Foxfire series of books. They collected antique tools together & enjoyed hours at the auctions, in Genes woodshop shooting the breeze, Bill´s barn & anywhere they could tinker & talk together. They both loved their families beyond measure and were never happier than when their sister Elaine could join them for time in NC together. Their lifetime bonds as 3 siblings were never broken. Uncle Bill will be mourned & missed greatly by all of us. He leaves a legacy worth remembering.
