RUSSELL, Willie A.

of Tampa, passed away Dec. 22, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at 2 pm, at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. He was a native of Troy, AL, and a resident of Tampa for 63 years. He was well known and loved in the West Tampa area and was educated in the Public Schools of Hillsborough County. He was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School in the early 70's and retired as a Custodian from the School District of Hillsborough County where he served at Dunbar Elementary School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Magnolia Russell; sister, Sharon Hope; and nieces, Felicia Williams and Jessica Michel. Survived by father, Ralph Russell; sisters, Ernestine Williams, Debra Tetteh, Brenda Clarke (Garnet), Wanda Russell, Theresa Hotunu, Julie Kindred (Carl), Ora Frazier; brothers, Ralph Russell Jr., Harold Russell, Ronnie Russell, Quinton Russell; nieces, nephews, a host of great-nieces and nephews; special aunt, Doretha Russell; cousins, and friends. Remains repose 4-7 pm, Dec. 31, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
