Noah Salmons Obituary

Noah Alexander Salmons

Born at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. He arrived in the late evening of Monday, July 5th, 2010, to Jason, Amanda, Julia, Madison, Elijah, and Jonah Salmons. Julia and Madison cradled him, as if he were their own, from the moment he arrived, with Jonah as his sidekick and Elijah being his favorite place to sleep. Throughout his life, Noah has been the absolute light of our lives, developing unique and charming relationships with each of his family members and his friends. The close connection he shared with his siblings and parents was remarkable. His best friends were the doctors and contractors he spent his free time with, landscaping and sharing deep, meaningful conversations. Noah was passionately involved in baseball. Clayton Kershaw was his favorite baseball player of all time. His other passions were archeology and vintage money, and coins. He collected pieces of our past and carried them around with him in his pockets throughout his entire life. Traveling with Noah was an insightful adventure, given his deep admiration for trying new foods and exploring the world. September 20th, 2025, when Clayton Kershaw retired from the MLB, Noah decided that it was time to retire, right along with him. The beauty and love Noah bestowed upon every person he knew have been profound. There is not one life he has not touched magnificently. He is survived by his parents, Jason and Amanda Salmons, his siblings, Julia, Madison, Elijah, and Jonah Salmons, his grandparents, Barbara and Dwane Salmons, and Mary and Robert Laskowski, his great-grandma Joan Bauer, and endless friends and family who adored him. Noah was kind and gentle and so funny and strong, deserving so much more than this Earth had to offer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Parish Hall of St. James Episcopal Church in Taos at 1:00 p.m. Friends of the family have set up a Benefit fund at Centinel Bank under the name of Jason Salmons, account #7122, to aid the family in this time of need.

My highest thoughts are with Noah's family and friends. He was brilliant and kind and above all, curious about the world as his interests demonstrate. His sense of humor was the result of his incredibly intelligent mind. Whenever I engaged him in school (work or just social conversation), he was spot on eloquent and wise. I miss him and miss his gifts to all his peers. There are no words to express how very much his light has blessed our lives.
