Catherine M. Botellio

Catherine M. (Taylor) Botellio, 79, of Taunton, passed away at home, on October 6, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Catherine (Masterson) Taylor and loving and devoted wife of 61 years to John A. Botellio. Catherine was born and raised in Taunton and educated in the Taunton public schools, a housewife and mother for many years and a wonderful sewer, often making her own clothing and clothing for her children. After raising her children, she went to work for the Commonwealth of MA as a receiving teller. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Botellio of Taunton; six grandchildren, John A. Botellio III and his wife Megan of Maine, Jillian A. Molchanow of New Jersey, Brian J. Rogers-Botellio of Stoughton, MA, Taylor C., Marissa B. and Erica P. Coelho of Berkley, MA; a son-in-law Edward P. Coelho of Berkley, MA; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Catherine is predeceased by three sons, a baby boy who passed away in 1972, James A. Botellio and John A. Botellio II; a brother, James Taylor; and three sisters Eleanor Parenteau, Beatrice Vieira, and Mary M. Nolette. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services for Catherine on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home 350 Somerset Ave. Taunton followed by burial at Mayflower Hill Cemetery. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 10 -11.
