Delfina Soito

Delfina (Peixoto) Soito,91, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Friday April 13, 2018 at Life Care Center of Raynham. She was born in Faial, Azores, daughter to the late Joao and Madalena Peixoto. She was wife of the late Antonio L. Soito for sixty-eight years. She came to the United States in 1968, living in Newport until 1969 when the family moved to Taunton. To Mrs. Soito, family was most important, she loved taking care of her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening (especially the flowers), and going for walks. She was a religious woman and prayed regularly. Survivors are a son, Ramiro L. Soito and his wife Nellie of Taunton; two grandchildren Brian Soito of East Taunton and Jason Soito and his wife Jennifer of Dighton; four grandchildren, Arianna, Amia, Landen and Brysen. She was also sister to the late Francisco, Joao, Maria, Conceicao, Filomena, Madelena, Jose, Tomas, and Manuel. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10:30 from the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Avenue, Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 in the Annunciation of the Lord Church 31 1 st Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
