In Norwood, October 16, 2015 Joshua D. Acerra, Age 33, passed away unexpectedly. He was born in Brockton the son of Wayne & Elizabeth (DAvella) Furtado of Taunton and Dennis & Kathy Acerra of Norwood. Joshua also leaves his former wife Megan (Pierce) Acerra and their son Jacoby both of Taunton. Joshua was a resident of Taunton all his life. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. Joshua enjoyed boating and all water activities and football and baseball. Joshua also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents Joshua leaves his siblings Jennifer and Jessica Furtado of Taunton and Michael Acerra of Manomet, Michael Acerra and his daughter Arianna and Dennis Teddy Morel. Joshua was also the grandson of the late Armando & Mary DeAvilla and Dante & Doris Acerra. His favorite niece Brianna and adorable twin nephews Brandon and Logan and also Brody. Funeral from the OKeefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Friday, October 23rd at 8:45 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 pm. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Taunton.
