Pamela Waldron Obituary

Pamela McGuire Hayston Waldron left this earthly world to meet her beloved husband, the late Howard "Howie" Waldron (d. 2019), early Wednesday morning, April 21, 2021, at Boston Medical Center. Pam had been courageously fighting complications from a stroke. She was 63 years old. Pam, a lifelong Taunton resident, known to most as "Miss Pam" (a loving endearment from her Howie), was born March 9, 1958 to Edward McGuire and Dorothy (Avllya) McGuire. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, Taunton Catholic Middle School, and Taunton High School. Pam also earned an associate's degree from Fisher Junior College. In her younger years, Pam competed in local roller-skating competitions and developed a knack and love for creative arts. She was known as a creative soul, developing her talents throughout her lifetime. Known for her handmade Halloween costumes, Pam was a talented artist, seamstress, crafter and poet. At the time of her passing, she was an employee of the State of Massachusetts as an assistant business manager for the Department of Developmental Services at the Southeast Regional Office. During her employment here, Pam received a "Citation for Outstanding Performance" in May 2016, recognizing her for her "we got this attitude", and leading her co-workers to "soar to higher standards through her encouragement". This Citation for Outstanding Performance recognized Pam as the hard working, reliable, nurturing, supportive leader we all knew her to be. Pam had many important significant roles in her lifetime. To say she lived a meaningful life is an understatement. She wore many hats and wore them beautifully with love, laughter, and loyalty. She was a daughter, a sister, a cousin, an aunt, a niece, a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a sister-in-law, a mother-in-law, and a friend. She was strong-willed with a big personality and a boisterous laugh. Pam lived a vibrant life. She enjoyed spending time with her large loving family and numerous loyal friends. The time she spent with her granddaughter that she adored, Olivia Rose Hayston, and her beloved fellow pirate Howie and their yellow lab Lady were her most treasured. Pam loved to travel with friends, family and her late husband. You could often find Pam gathered with family and friends for a good meal or live music. Some of her favorite times were taking walks while shopping with her mom, Dottie (McGuire d. 2018), or her weekly pizza dinner with childhood friend Dawn at Weir Pizza, or most recently her Saturday visits to Riverhouse with her sister Debra to see her dear friends Cheryl and Lisa. She was well known to attend all the social events at the PACC and her boys would not be surprised to receive a late night text or call after a fun night out with a funny story to tell. One of Pam's proudest accomplishments was in raising her sons, Eric Hayston and Joshua Hayston, to be the gentlemen they are today. It would be impossible to describe or measure the love, pride, and dedication she had for her sons, comparable only to the devotion and adoration she had for her granddaughter, Olivia Rose Hayston. She supported and encouraged all of Olivia's artful talents and you could often find her making memories crafting with Olivia on many weekends, or cheering her on during her dance classes on a Tuesday night, or proudly watching her swim on an early Saturday morning. The greatest gift Pam gave to all, was her time. Pam shared priceless stories with countless people, too many to possibly tell here. She will be forever cherished by all those that had the great privilege of being in her stories and knowing her. She will be forever remembered and will remain loved in the hearts of all whose lives she has touched. Pam will live on in all of the hearts and stories of those that cherish her and she will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her vibrant, uplifting strong spirit, and her determination to live her best life. Her loved ones may not be able to see her, but they are comforted in knowing she is reunited with her beloved Howie and mom, Dottie, watching over them until they meet again. Pam is survived by her sons Eric Paul Hayston and wife Keri, and Joshua Hayston and Jessica McKay; her granddaughter Olivia Rose Hayston; her sister Debra Dutra; her brother Shawn McGuire and wife Annie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and aunts. Pam was predeceased by her parents Edward McGuire and Dorothy (Avllya) McGuire; her husband Howard Waldron; and her brother-in-law Michael Dutra. A service celebrating Pam's life will be held by O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home at 70 Washington Street, Taunton, Ma on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Receiving hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. There will be a reception following at The Riverhouse, which is located at 260 W Water St, Taunton, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes a donation in memory of Pam to Forever Paws Animal Shelter; foreverpaws.com.

Debbie and Shawn I am so sorry for your loss! I remember Pam at OLOL always laughing and smiling which probably got her into trouble with the Nuns! God Bless and comfort you all during this difficult time.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Miss Pam. She was one of the nicest ladies in the city of Taunton ! Howie and Pam did a lot for the kids of Taunton and will be greatly missed. I am sorry that I will miss the service, but I have to coach a football game on that night. I am sure that they would understand.
