Adelaide Raggio Obituary

Adelaide Dorothea Genelay Raggio, 85, died Jan. 12, 2013, at Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart. She was born in Richmond Hill, N.Y., and moved to Stuart in 1975. She was a graduate of Valley Stream Central High School. She and her sister Jeanette formed the Malverne Service Club during World War II. She was a member of the Miles Grant Country Club, the First Church of Christ Scientist, and the St. Lucie River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include her daughters, Carole Ann Kruger of Davidson, N.C., and Suzanne Fox of Palm City; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Raggio; sister, Jeanette Ruth Schiffel; and a grandson. Memorial contributions may be sent to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. Services: A gathering will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, Palm City. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Forest Hills Chapel.
