ALBERTO RECIO Obituary
ALBERTO (AJ) RECIO, II Alberto (AJ) Recio, II, passed away on May 2, 2012, in West Hartford, CT. Born on April 12, 1986 in Miami, FL., he was a 2010 graduate of MIT with a S.B. in Management Science and Finance, and a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity, Technology Chapter. An ardent stock market investor, he was employed as a financial analyst at Fairview Capital Partners, where his passion for tech startups and venture capital was highly respected by his investment team. In the Achieve Hartford initiative, he helped parents determine their students' public school curriculum, and had personally funded over 30 microfinance loans to the poor through Kiva.org. A 2005 AP graduate of Saint Edwards' School, Vero Beach, AJ was an avid golfer, and lifelong Beatles and Dylan fan. He is survived by his parents, Carol and Alberto (Al) Recio of Dorado, PR, brother Steven Recio, of Stanford, CA, grandparents Elena and Alberto Recio and great aunt Graciella Recio, Miami; aunts and uncles; Gracie Recio, Miami, Cristina and Eduardo Recio, Dorado, PR, Renee and Ron Bartlett, Pittsburgh, PA, seven cousins, and countless, loyal friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Coral Gables, FL on June 22 at 2:30 pm.
