Sebastian
Lt. Colonel Benjamin W. Boswell Jr., 80, died July 1, 2017 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, FL.
He was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Sebastian, FL 17 years ago from Melbourne, FL.
He obtained his Masters Degree in Finance.
Lt. Colonel Benjamin was a veteran of the US Air Force having served for 41 years.
He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, FL. He was a member of the American Legion Post 189 and VFW Post 10210 in Sebastian, Florida.
Survivors include sons, Benjamin W. Boswell III and William R. Boswell both of Grants Pass, Oregon; daughters, Hattie L. Boswell of Glendale, Arizona and Emma S. Boswell of Sebastian, Florida; grandchildren, Hollie Killebrew, Heather Scroggin (Andrew), Carlos Boswell and Samuel Boswell; Four great-grandchildren; brother, Richard V. Boswell (Cathy) of Westminster, Maryland and companion, Betty Ward of Sebastian, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Macatee Boswell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 in memory of Colonel Benjamin Boswell, Jr.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, FL. Military honors will be conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans' Honor Guard.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
