Candice Coghill Obituary

Candice Wilson Coghill died Sept. 21, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice. She was born in Miami, grew up in Huntington, N.Y. and Fort Lauderdale, and was a longtime resident of Stuart. She was a graduate of Florida State University. She retired as executive director of the Juvenile Assessment Center in Fort Pierce in 2010 to pursue writing. Her award-winning story "George's Wheels" was recently published by the Florida Writers Association. She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Coghill; mother, Grace Wilson; sister, Melissa Wilson; brother, Donald Wilson, and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice or Humane Society. Services: A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palm City, followed by a celebration of her life at Sandsprit Park, Pavilion 0.
