Rev. Carman Lawson Toler

The Rev. Carman Lawson Toler, 89, died May 11, 2011, at his home. He was born in Harrison County, Ind., and was winter resident of Hobe Sound, coming from Eckarty, Ind. He was a retired minister and a member of the Hobe Sound Bible Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Elva L. Fye Toler; son, Ronald Bruce Toler of Corydon, Ind.; daughters, Donna Sue Carpenter of Newberry, Ind., Judith Sharon Polley of Columbus, Ind., and Rebecca Ann Mydock and Martha Marie Heatwole, both of Hobe Sound; sisters, Verdess Modell Hammel of Columbus and Wanda Jean Reynolds of Corydon; 13 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Mae Davis Toler; and daughter, Patricia Kay McGowan. Memorial contributions may be made to Hobe Sound Bible College, 11298 S.E. Gomez Ave., Hobe Sound, FL 33455. Services: Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 15 and after 9 a.m. May 16 at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. A service will be at 2 p.m. May 16 at the funeral home with the Rev. Danny Goodman officiating. Burial will be in the Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
