Charles J Baker

Palm City - Charles "Charlie" Joseph Baker Jr. of Palm City, Florida, passed away on March 29, 2021 at Treasure Coast Hospice surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Queens, New York on December 18, 1940, son of the late Charles J Baker Sr. and Henrietta M Baker.

After graduating high school, he attended Farmingdale University and worked at Loring Associates, an architectural firm in Manhattan. He continued pursuing his education at New York University. After one fateful vacation to Florida, he fell in love and he and his family moved to Fort Pierce in 1969. In his entrepreneurial spirit, he started Baker Heating and Air Conditioning in Fort Pierce and then established Economy Air Conditioning in Palm City.

Charlie Baker loved the simple things in life including, first and foremost, his family as well as ice cold beer, fishing, Nascar, and sports. He is survived by his sons Charles J Baker III (Alyssa) and Christopher J Baker, his daughter Carolyn June Baker, his sister Carolyn Jean Baker, grandsons CJ Baker IV and Hunter Baker (Brittany) and was the proud great-grandfather of Charles "Joseph" V, Chloe Jolleen, and Braylon Ann Baker.

He was greatly loved and will be immensely missed by family and friends.

Charlie will be laid to rest next to his parents at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Pompano Beach Florida. A graveside service will be held there on April 5th 12:00 pm.
