Charles Carter McComas "Chuck" 82, passed away in Stuart, FL on February 7, 2019. He was born on October 11, 1936 in Huntington W VA. Chuck was preceded in death by Ewart and Elizabeth McComas and his twin brother Ewart Edward McComas.

Chuck graduated from Huntington High School in 1954 and then attended Marshall University graduating in 1963 with a degree in Chemistry/Material Engineering. In 1963 Chuck joined the winning team known as Pratt & Whitney and later promoted to President of United Technologies/Metal Products Inc. He has received numerous patent awards including his most recognized coating which was known as Gator Gard. Chuck became director of Pratt & Whitney International before retiring in 1992. He had an enthusiastic love of life and positively influenced many people along the way. After retiring, you could find him managing his commercial properties, restoring antique cars, fishing, hunting and extensive travel with Judy the love of his life.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Judy of 26 years; sons, Edward(Karen), Scott, Douglas (Nancy), Gerald (Katherine), Franz(Nancy) Lumpi; daughter, Ashley (Dee) Daoud; grandchildren, Tara (Dana) Kemppainen,Charles, Stacy Dutton, Ryan(Melissa), Amber, Camie, Tyler (Erin)and Joshua; and great grandchildren, Max, Madeline, Vera, Jax, Charles Jr.(CJ), Ty, Koa, Ryan Jr., Mason, Andrew and Aidan

A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart. A Gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 9:30 am and resume after the service until 1 PM. www.treasurecoastseawinds.com
