To the Bogan family I want to send my sincerest condolences. I personally will miss Dave's tip of his cap when saying hello, the familiar smell of pipe tobacco, and on a rough day seeing him calling Capt Long to fill in.Take time to recall all of your favorite memories I know I will.

To the Bogan family,
Tom and I love Joanne. She is quite a treasure. We know how much she loves her family. We just want to express our sympathy. I am sure "pop pop" will be missed greatly. Tom and Hilda Younker (cousins)
Dave aboard Captain Jack Bogan's "COLUMBIA" in August 1950. Like any 10-year old lad, he was out fishing on a boat and happy as a clam.

We are deeply saddened to hear the news about Dave's passing. Mike and I always enjoyed speaking with him over the years. Dave had
an incredible wealth of knowledge, history and lore about the fishing business and he freely shared his wonderful stories and photos
with us. We are so glad we had the opportunity to know him. Without a doubt, Dave took a boatload of good memories with him when he
passed and that is the mark of a life well lived. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know that he is in our prayers.
Sincerely,
Mel Deak and Mike Daniewicz

Dave, you were one of the truly great guys in the business. I'll never forget that you were one of the very few that tried to help me out in my first few years. Mrs. Bogan and family. I'm so sorry to hear about your husbands passing away. I use to work on his boat the "paramount" back in the mid 70's and enjoyed working with him. Such a nice man and taught me the ropes of the job. We all going to miss him. Wish we could have come down a lot sooner and visit. Take care and Godbless you and family. Sincerly David Zinetti
