Edwin Arnowitt Obituary

Edwin Arnowitt

Palm City, FL

Edwin Arnowitt of Palm City passed away Monday at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife, two loving children and 5 grandchildren. Ed spent the first half of his life as a practicing attorney and CPA in New York City before coming to Martin County 34 years ago. He has become well known for his long time and passionate support of the IRSC Foundation, most recently serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee of Indian River State College (altogether 17 years) which oversees fundraising, investments and distribution of scholarship aid to dozens of worthy students in need of a hand up and an opportunity along the path to their degrees and careers. Ed prided himself on being able to make a difference-and that he did.

A memorial service will held be at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City (2001 SW Murphy Road) on Friday at 2:00PM. Reception to follow. Gifts in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society of Martin County would make him smile.
