Fred Martz Obituary

Fred Christian Martz, 50, died Feb. 20, 2008, at his residence in Vero Beach. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for three years, coming from Palm Bay. He worked for Pursuit boats in Fort Pierce for 21 years. He served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Vero Beach building homes. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sara Martz of Vero Beach; son, Jerry Martz of Vero Beach; daughter, Carolyn Martz of Vero Beach; father, Jerry Martz of West Memphis, Ariz.; sisters, Leslie Roquette of Memphis, Tenn., and Wendy Hendrickson of Brownsville, Ind. SERVICES: A service will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 25 at Community Church of Vero Beach with the Rev. Robert Baggott officiating. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home Vero Beach.

Fred you are missed brother. Always in Pursuit of perfection. One of the hardest working guys I know, but when he set his mind to it, it got done.
