On June 5, 2016, the Lord called Garnet Clugh Frankenburger home.
Garnet was born to the late Paul and Winnie (Stage) Clugh, in Akron, Ohio, June 17, 1931. She graduated from Garfield High School. Garnet married Jack Frankenburger on June 20, 1952.
The couple moved to Chicago. Garnet dedicated her life to her family, her home, and her Lord. She was an asset at Homewood Christian Academy, where she taught creative writing and art. After the couple's children were married, Garnet then turned to another love, selling real estate on Hutchinson Island.
Preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Paul Vernon Hamilton, her husband, Jack, her son John, and granddaughter Charity, Garnet is survived by her daughters Beth Forbes, of Port Saint Lucie, and Amy Haddan (Mike), of Okeechobee, and her daughter-in-law Diana Ney (James), of Nicholasville, Ky. Grandchildren include Susan Whittemore (James), J.D. Forbes (Theresa), Roy Haddan, Spec.4 Jimmy Haddan (Afghanistan), Matthew Frankenburger (Mackenzie), Emily Schott (Shelby), and Zachary Frankenburger (Jourdan); great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jordan; James, John; Braxton, Cason, Finley
A service will be held at Dunklin Memorial, on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 10 o'clock. Memorials may be sent to Dunklin Memorial Church, 3342 Southwest Hosanah Lane, Okeechobee, FL 34974 or Hospice of Okeechobee, 411 SE 4th St, Okeechobee, FL 34974.
