Harry Gordon Obituary

Harry Gordon, 80, died Feb. 16, 2010, at his daughter's home. He was born in Wabasso and lived in Fort Pierce for 52 years. He was the founder, pastor and overseer of Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, Fort Pierce. He had a doctor of divinity degree and conducted outreach ministries throughout the United States, including Florida, the Carolinas and New Jersey. He was the founder and president of United Fellowship of Independent Churches Inc. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. Gordon of Fort Pierce; sons, Larry Gordon, Willie James Gordon, Timothy L. Gordon and Anthony Lamar Gordon, all of Fort Pierce; daughters, Harriet D. Gordon of Fort Pierce, Jacquelyn L. Williams of Atlanta and Zara Renee Greenlaw of Oxnard, Calif.; brother, Charles H. Gordon of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Ruth Butler-Walkine of Fort Pierce and Margaret Strachan of Pahokee; 44 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. services: Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Feb. 19 at Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, Fort Pierce. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 20 at East Florida Primitive Baptist Church Association Temple, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A guest book may be signed at stonebrothersfuneralhome.com.
