Dear Hartenstein family,

Mr. Hartenstein hired me back in 1970 as a file clerk at Akers-Hartenstein Insurance Company. I worked for him for 10 years or so. He was always a class act, kind, respectful and interesting. I remember he brought in an antique car and took us all for a ride. It was so much fun. I think of him often and realize they just don't make them like James Hartenstein anymore. He will be missed I know, so may you seek comfort in each other with all the wonderful memories you have of this great man.

Sincerely,

Deborah Smith William

Dear Nancy,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your Dad was always so nice (and tolerant) when we would all hang out at your house! I remember his large wall map with the pins in all of the countries he visited!! God's peace to you. Love, Anita Ferris Sears
