I met John in mid 1970´s. He had joined my band in Arlington Heights, IL. He drove up in a primer, brown van and the fun began. John was always a delight. A very nice, easy going guy and a great bassist. We toured Florida for a while and in Boca Raton we had a couple nice apartments for the band members. Someone found an old dog and John brought him in as our mascot. The guys shaved and bathed that old dog but unbeknownst them they unleashed a massive amount of fleas that infested the apartment. We all had to move. These great memories to look back on. Unfortunately after 6 months the band broke up. Still, I have many fond memories! I had actually just learned of John´s passing and was saddened by this. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
