John R. Carra

John R. Carra, 86, of Fort Pierce, died June 13, 2007. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and was a resident of Fort Pierce for 22 years. He was a metal engraver retired from Dutton Steel Stamp Co. in Hartford. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Marie Carra of Fort Pierce; daughters, Lisa Carra of Fort Pierce and Gina Cool of Stuart; son, Steven Carra of West Hartford, Conn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul R. Carra. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 2500 Virginia Ave., Suite 202, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
