John Carra Obituary

John R. Carra, 86, of Fort Pierce, died June 13, 2007. He was born in Hartford, Conn., and was a resident of Fort Pierce for 22 years. He was a metal engraver retired from Dutton Steel Stamp Co. in Hartford. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Marie Carra of Fort Pierce; daughters, Lisa Carra of Fort Pierce and Gina Cool of Stuart; son, Steven Carra of West Hartford, Conn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul R. Carra. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 2500 Virginia Ave., Suite 202, Fort Pierce, FL 34981. Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, has charge of the arrangements.
