Julia Drinkwater Obituary

JULIA S. GRIMES DRINKWATER Julia S. Grimes Drinkwater, 99, died December 27, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Mrs. Drinkwater was born in Scotia, South Carolina and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1976 coming from Fort Lee, New Jersey. Julia retired from Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ in 1976. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, and enjoyed ballroom dancing, sewing and gardening. She loved being "Nana". Survivors include her 5 children, Lois Yvonne Sporski of Buffalo, NY, James F. (Tanya) Grimes of St. Lucie Village, FL, Thelma (Donald) Britt of Panama City, FL, Barbara (Charles) Baji of Fort Pierce, FL and William T. Drinkwater of Miami, FL; siblings, Coleman Smoak of Laurens, SC and Juanita Marin of Savannah, GA; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 407 South 33rd Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34947. Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2007 from 5-8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. A guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
