As the former secretary to City Manager David Collier, it was my privilege to know and work with Karl. I thorougly enjoyed the times when he appeared at City Hall. He was a gentleman who always had a smile and good words to say. The City of Stuart has lost one of its many true supporters.
Deepest sympathy to his entire family. God Bless You All.

I am so sorry to hear of Karl John's passing. He was a really good friend of our father, Jack Hartman, and was my first boss at the flower farm in 1968. He would tell me stories of our mother who died in 1954 and made me feel proud to have had such a woman for my mom. He will be missed by many and I will be included amongst them.

Maybe he felt that we didn't deserve you here on earth and you were much better suited for Heaven. He certainly knows best. And don't worry, we'll do our best here on earth to look after your family as they grieve the loss of their beloved. We'll try and maintain ourselves as well. Stay blessed, and keep teaching those Angels up there how to smile. You are missed and loved.

Sorry to hear about Karl, having known him for many years as we owned a flower farms too. (Stuart Farms)
He used to come in the garden center and buy seeds etc. One of the most honest, pleasant people we knew.

I appreciate very much all he has done for the City of Stuart and especially the police department. He was our greatest supporter and will be missed.
