We never met Betty, but we grew to love her daughter Sally and David (my distant cousin) and their daughters. We heard so many stories about their visits to Betty in Michigan and Florida. We are so sorry for their loss, and for Bettys missing meeting her expected newest great-grandchild.

My sister and I loved her so very much. She wasn't the stereotypical grandma who baked cookies but she made one heck of a PB&J. We fondly remember the bench of towels when we came up from the lake. We were never aloud to sit on the kitchen stools for a snack until we got a towel to sit on. She always made sure we had everything we needed. Her home in Michigan was always filled with a warm and welcoming glow. She always made sure we got a picture of everyone on the porch before we left for home. Those photos are a like a time capsule as Carly and I grew up. We will continue to fill that house with new memories with Charlotte. Hugs.
