My thoughts and prayers are with the Hilferty family in their time of sorrow. I too go back over 50 years with Mike. He was a great athlete, a good family man, but most of all a true friend. I fondly remember our little league and Babe Ruth league times together. He will be missed.

To the Hilferty family,
I go back a long way with Mike, 1959 to be exact! It always hurts to lose a long time Brigantine friend. Great athlete, great guy. He was the best! We are sharing your loss.

I am so sorry to have heard of Michaels passing. We grew up together in Brigantine as kids and totally lost track of him for the last 50 so years. I was one or two years ahead of him in school and left after high school to enter the Army. I had often thought of him, but as I live in Texas did not know a way to contact him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,

Larry L. Letzer Sr.
