I hope you will watch over me Aunt Nancy because having you in my life made it better in so many ways even if we didn't get to be close for very long. I'll always be inspired when I think of you.

Nancy was one of the most intellectual and witty individuals I ever met. I did my student teaching under Nancy at Clifton Elementary. She inspired me as a special educator. She was a dear friend to so many. God speed Nancy.

Farewell Ms Nancy, mother of my heart. You were a guiding light in my life and will remain so forever. You, Ms Gill, were a force of nature. You have left a legacy of students, professional peers and friends who benefited from your living example of kindness, generosity, tenacity and wisdom in the face of adversity. You shared humor and joy with each of us. And, YOU were the best story teller ever!! "Oh, please Mister Tiger don't eat me up.."
Your chandalar will light up my dining room, your Christmas stocking will welcome Santa and your demitasse cups will hold my evening coffee.
Say hello to Charles.
And know, my dear Nancy, you are deeply loved by me.

I only met Nancy at age 65, after she became blind and moved to an town where she knew few people and started a new life. Her continued spirit of perseverance, joy, witty and straight forward comments, and continued participation in life and the lives of others are nothing short of amazing. Few people can say they have given as much to others!! Thank you Nancy for being a part of our lives!! Your cousin ...
