Otis Crocker Obituary

OTIS CROCKER 6/28/50 – 7/4/07 Otis Crocker, 57, of Vero Beach, died unexpectedly at Indian River Medical Center July 4, 2007. Otis was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach. He graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1968 where he was very active in sports. He was a master painter his entire career. Survivors include his wife Debbie (Curzon) Crocker, stepchildren Jamie Lewis (Teresa) of Illinois and Darcy Lewis of NYC, NY, mother and stepfather Missouri and Major Surles of Vero Beach, brother Bobby (Kim) Crocker of Vero Beach, sister Cherry Murray of Vero Beach, grandchildren Taylor, Noah, and Ethan of Illinois, nephews Darrel, Andy, and Benjamin Murray, nieces Lori Ann Fendley and Candace Fayard, and his favorite companion-his dog Ky-Ky. Preceding Otis in death was father Roy Crocker and brother Buster Crocker. Otis will always be remembered for his love of his family and friends, his love of the outdoors (fishing, hunting and golfing), his sense of humor, and his love of life. SERVICES: A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, FL with Rev. Buddy Tipton, Central Assembly of God, officiating. The reception will be held for family and friends at the River House immediately following the service. "We may not know the direction or strength of the wind, we just need to adjust our sails to meet the challenges."
