SYLVIA JEAN SHEARER Sylvia Jean Shearer, 77, died May 1, 2015 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Mrs. Shearer was born in Fellsmere, Florida and was a lifelong resident of the Treasure Coast. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, going out with her lunch buddies, crafting, and decorating her home, but most of all, spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Carol and Newell Blankenbaker, Michelle Kurth and the late Preston Kurth, Rick Shearer, and Jeani Shearer; 13 grand- children and 10 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Shearer, Sr., parents, James Cleve & Beatrice Gore, brothers, Alva Gore, Vernon Gore, Lonnie Gore, sister, Josephine Drawdy, and son-in-law, Preston Kurth. Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 12-1 PM with a service to follow at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
