Virginia "Gini" Mary Fabrizio, 82, of Palm City, FL passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 under the tender loving care of Treasure Coast Hospice with her husband, her son Christopher and brother John by her side.
Gini graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Manhattan, NY with a degree in nursing. Shortly afterwards, she married the father of her eight children, Michael Fabrizio who predeceased her.
Virginia had a life long passion for nursing. In 1985, Gini and James moved from New York to Florida where she continued to work until two years ago. Some of her many hobbies were to go boating and sing Karaoke with her husband and sing "I can't Smile without You". She enjoyed going with her husband to the Elks Lodge, American Legion, Eagles Club and VFW. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Gini was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Gini is survived by her husband, James C. Eppolito of Palm City, FL her children: sons James Fabrizio, Michael Fabrizio both from Long Island, NY and Christopher Fabrizio (Laura) of Winter Garden, FL; daughters Lisa Fabrizio, Celia Fabrizio (Pat), Aileen Marciano (Michael) and Nancy Lee (Robert) all of Long Island, NY; two brothers Paul Kissel (Joan) of Brooklyn, NY and John Kissel (Diane) of Pelham, NY; sister-in-law Carol Kissel, of Long Island, NY; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She had one son Tommy Fabrizio and one brother Buddy Kissel who predeceased her.
Gini will be missed by her family and friends and remembered for her outgoing style.
A local Celebration of Life service will be held at The Moose Club of Stuart, 2454 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997 on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 4:00 pm and at a later date in Long Island, NY with an Inurnment at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Huntington, Long Island, NY.
