William O'Neill Obituary

WILLIAM FRANCIS O'NEILL William Francis O'Neill, 88, died September 21, at The VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida. Mr. O'Neill was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February, 1941 and became a radio operator. Mr. O'Neill received an Air Medal for his service during the Battle of Dutch Harbor. After his December 1946 honorable discharge, Mr. O'Neill moved to Miami, Florida and had been a Florida resident ever since. In 1977, he retired from Pan American World Airways after a 30 year career as a Master Mechanic. From 1977 to 1992, Mr. O'Neill worked as a Process Server in Miami-Dade County. Mr. O'Neill was a member of the congregations of and served as an usher at Holy Cross Church and All Souls Episcopal Church in Miami for a total of 45 years. A devoted husband and uncle, Mr. O'Neill was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Marguerite Baus O'Neill. He is survived by his niece and nephews, Barbara Baus of Bethlehem, PA, Frederick Baus III of Simpsonville, SC; Robert Baus of Vero Beach, FL and Princeton, NJ; and their spouses; two great-nieces and their spouses; two great-great- nephews; and a great-great- niece.
