Barbara Dennis Obituary
She was born in Hood River, Ore., to Fred and Bertha (Scroggins) Gilcher on Nov. 29, 1926.
Barbara lived in Longview from 1927 to 1946 when she moved to Fremont, Calif. She returned to Longview in 1983. She was a member of the Longview Church of the Nazarene.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, George Dennis; five brothers, Darsey Scroggins, Nick Gilcher, Jack Gilcher, Glenn Gilcher and Dan Gilcher; and a sister, Pat Fix.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Marlene Dennis of Sutherlin, Ore., and Kerry Vann Andrew and Virda Dennis of Medford, Ore.; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Neva Gilcher of Hermiston, Ore.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Miriam Stanley of Longview and Gerry and Ken Hamor of Klamath Falls, Ore.; three grandsons; a granddaughter; seven great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.
Columbia Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

I did not know Barbara that long but I got to know well enough to know that she was a special person & I ejoyed visiting with her at her home. She was a customer of mine (I sell Avon)& I will miss her sweet personality greatly!
