Jack Elms Obituary
He was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Fresno, Calif., and moved to the local area in 1964.
Mr. Elms was a teacher and administrator at several Kelso schools, and served as principal at Wallace Elementary School. He retired in 1993.
He also served in the Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Elms; three sons, Dick Dykstra, Mike Dykstra, and Les Dykstra; four daughters, Cheryl Mach, Kathy Jo Holmond, Debbie Bogardus and Kim Wright; a sister, Betty Dides; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Elms.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Longview Community Church.
