Justin Carr-Dragoo Obituary
Justin Alex Carr-Dragoo "J.D." passed away on July 30th, 2023 in Rainier, Oregon. Justin was born on March 19, 1997, in Kennewick, Washington to April Carr-Dragoo and Chad Dragoo.
Justin started school and sports in Rainier but in 2007 moved to Knappa, Oregon with his Aunt, Uncle, Brother, and Cousins. Justin excelled as a three-sport athlete and he obtained numerous awards and accolades during his Knappa High School career. Justin earned a League Player of the Year Award in football and he played as a third baseman for his State Championship winning baseball team. Justin also enjoyed playing basketball for Knappa High School. Justin graduated from Knappa High School in 2015 and eventually moved back to Rainier.
Justin worked for Rightline Equipment Inc, in Rainier. Justin also recently applied for and was accepted into the Washington State Electrical Apprenticeship Program. Justin enjoyed fishing and especially trout fishing, while rafting the Nehalem River. Justin also enjoyed playing on his men's softball team, spending time with his daughter, Akiera, and the rest of his family. All of Justin's friend's and family will miss his big smile and goofy laugh.
Justin is survived by his daughter Akiera, Mother April Carr-Dragoo, Father and Stepmother Chad and Marita Dragoo, Brother Austin Dragoo, Stepsister LeAnna Dragoo, Aunt and Uncle Jason and Jaime Hoover, Cousins Mason and Devin Hoover, Grandparents Greg and Tracy Carr, and Grandparents Randy and Cindy Dragoo. Justin is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved and called his friends.
Justin was proceeded in death by his Grandmother Kimberly McCracken and his Aunt and Uncle Mark and Candi Beam.
A Celebration of Justin's life will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, 1200 P.M. at the Knappa High School, located at 41523 Old Highway 30, Astoria, OR 97103.
Donations can be made at the Celebration of Life or at Justin's GoFundMe account under "Justin Dragoo-Carr (JD)." Proceeds will go to assist with memorial costs and any extra funds will go to a scholarship, in Justin's name.
