Viva R. Bjornrud

Viva R. Bjornrud, 79, of Longview, died on January 4, 2006 in a local nursing home. She was born November 8, 1926 in Longview to Almont E. and Bernice G. (Eastlick) Maynard. Mrs. Bjornrud was a homemaker and loved to Square Dance, gardening and cooking. She married Lillierd W. Bjornrud February 8, 1947 in Woodland, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lillierd; son, Dennis B.J. Bjornrud; a granddaughter at birth; two sisters, Leah L. Maynard of Woodland and Alice M. Kuning of Longview. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon R. Williams of Longview; two brothers, Ralph E. Maynard and Glen N. Maynard of Woodland; one sister, Ethel L. Stewart of California; four grandsons; seven great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service and Potluck at Evergreen Terrace Gospel Chapel, 5052 Pacific Terrace, Longview on January 8th at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by Steele Chapel.

We extend our sympathy to Viva's family. We shared their love of square dancing and have many fond memories of dancing with Viva & Lillard over the years. May she find peace with the Lord with some dancing for exercise.
