WORCESTER - Alexis Ariel Correa, Jr., 21, of Worcester, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 from injuries he sustained in a car accident in Lincoln, RI.
He leaves his parents, Alexis A. and Elizabeth (Santiago) Correa, his sisters, Tiffany and Sabrina, and a niece Elianna Harper, all with whom he lived. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Luz Vega and Guillermo Santiago, his paternal grandmother, Adalaris Correa; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended "brothers and sisters".
Alexis was born in Worcester and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 2010, where he was a member of the football and track teams. He currently worked at WalMart in West Boylston. When Alexis wasn't working he enjoyed playing Call of Duty on his X-Box and belonged to the Central Mass Flag Football League with his dad, where he wore his favorite number 13 on his shirt.
He was a loving son and brother, and spending time with his family was what he loved most. His family meant the world to him.
Visiting hours for Alexis will be held on Thursday, July 25 from 4-8 pm at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Lexi and he always greeted me with a smile and a hug, he was one of the sweetest guys I ever met. My son William, played football with Alexis. Will said Alexis was a great person who got along with everyone on the team. One of my brothers died in an automobile accident at the age of 18. I vividly remember the pain our family felt. Our family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead. Keep his memory alive.

I'm truly sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I will fondly remember watching him play football with my son Tim at Doherty. He was an amazing athlete who played with passion that showed every time he stepped on to the field.
