Shrewsbury - Alice Kathleen (Cotter) Collette, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Mesa, AZ, and Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully Apr 19, 2012
Born in Orono, ME, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Bradley) Cotter.
She leaves two daughters, Denise Weikamp and her husband Jim of East Hampton, CT and Kathleen Brownell and her husband Bob of Shrewsbury, seven grandchildren; Kate Vernali and husband Sal, Alison D'Arcy and husband Eric, Michael Wisnieski and fiancé Patience, Emily Ortiz and husband DJ, Michael Weikamp, Dan Brownell and wife Carla, and Erin Brownell. She also leaves eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, four sisters, and her husband of 65 years, Myron G. Collette in 2002.
After living in Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut Alice and her husband retired to Mesa Arizona in 1973. She moved to Shrewsbury in 2003.
Alice was an avid reader, she enjoyed gardening, playing and listening to music, and painting. She loved a good conversation and a good laugh.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11 AM, at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury.
Private burial will be in Mary Queen of The Rosary Cemetery, Spencer, MA.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and UMass Memorial Hospice for their compassionate care.

What can I say. I've known you for alot of years. You are a wonderful woman,a great gift giver, lunch taker,on and on. Will miss you and am so glad your wishes came true.
