Alistair Kennedy Obituary

Alistair M. Kennedy, 78, of Auburn formerly of Worcester died on Tuesday, September 23rd in his home after being stricken ill.

His wife of 35 years, Georgette A. (Vallee) Kennedy died in 2005. He is survived by a son John R. Kennedy and his wife Roxana of Auburn; a daughter Alyson M. Cordio and her husband Scott of Leominster; three grandchildren, Sean, Lucas, and Joshua and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Kennedy was born in Worcester son of the late John F. and Sarah (Freeburn) Kennedy and is predeceased by a sister Margaret F. Marchand.

Mr. Kennedy is a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. He retired from the Boston-Maine Railroad as an engineer in 1990. He later worked for Consumer Auto Parts as a driver.

He was a member of the USS Boxer Association, the New England Model A Club, the Greendale Retired Men's Club and the Holy Name of Jesus Church Social Club.

Calling hours will be held on Friday September 26 from 5 to 8 PM in Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond Street, Worcester. Private burial will be held in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Auburn Visiting Nurses, 191 Pakachoag Street, Auburn, MA 01501.

Uncle AL had a huge heart and a loving smile that warmed all of those around him. His laugh was infectious and he always told great stories. My condolences to his children(my cousins) and all those who knew him and loved him.
