Andrew Lauder Obituary
Leicester - Andrew T. Lauder, 27 of Pleasant Street died suddenly Sunday, July 26th. He suffered from a rare hereditary heart condition called Brugada Syndrome.
He leaves his parents Thomas A. and Susan (O'Neil) Lauder of Leicester, a sister Katherine L. Lauder and her boyfriend Rocco A. Piccirillo of Simsbury, CT, maternal grandparents James and Dorothy O'Neil of Cherry Valley and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandmother Marion Lauder.
Andrew was born in Worcester. He graduated from Leicester High School and Boston University. He was an Independent Insurance Agent in Framingham.
He will be remembered and celebrated for the full 27 years of his life with us. He had a brilliant mind and wonderful sense of humor. His passion for reading and learning never stopped. He especially enjoyed fishing and golfing with his dad, beating his mom at Jeopardy, vacationing at the Cape with extended family, political banter, and "hanging with his sister and cousins".
Andrew was a joy to be with - his easy going style and compassion was welcoming and warm. He was proud of Leicester H.S.; his Super Bowl football team, playing the tin man in the school play, and he thoroughly enjoyed his teachers and friends. He was also proud to have worked as an EMT, to have caught a 4 lb. brook trout, and to have flown airplanes. He will be missed.
The funeral will be held Friday, July 31 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Thursday, July 30 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or to Leicester High School Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 322, Leicester, MA 01524.

I met Andrew through his cousin Marc. I didn't know him real well, but the couple of times I saw him were enough to know he was a great person.
