Anne Beaudet Obituary
South Dennis - Anne "Nancy" (Morrissey) Beaudet, daughter of Michael and Bridget (Comyn) Morrissey, passed away on January 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ronald A. Beaudet whom she married in 1956. Born in Worcester, MA., she was a graduate of Ascension High School and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing. "Nancy" worked a majority of her career as a registered nurse at St. Vincent Hospital. Nancy also enjoyed her years working with the retired Sisters of Notre Dame at Notre Dame Institute.
Nan and Ron raised their family in Worcester and later in Millbury. They retired to South Dennis in 1996 and are members of Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster. Nancy volunteered at Cape Cod Regional Tech School, Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands, the Dennis Police Dept., and was past President of the South Dennis Library. Nancy was a member of The Ascension and St. Vincent School of Nursing Alumnae.
She is survived by five children, Thomas Beaudet and his wife Sharon of Worcester, Dawn Bates and her husband Steven of Putnam, CT., Anne Beatty and her husband Mark of Leicester, Mary-Kate Conlon of Sutton and Christine Hicks and her husband Jeffrey of Sutton. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, Robert, Ronald, Brittany, Mallaidh, Meaghan, Bridget, Hannah, Matthew, Sean and Benjamin; four great grandchildren, David, Makenna, Elliana and Ryan Rose. Nancy is also survived by her friend and sister, Dorothy Morrissey of Worcester. Nancy was predeceased by her brother Edmund and sisters Eileen Olihovik and Mary Mahan. Sadly, she was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley.
Nancy was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and was fortunate to have visited the Emerald Island twice. Nancy enjoyed bingo nights with her many friends and always looked forward to social events and family gatherings. Everyone who met Nancy remembered her. She was outgoing, outspoken, very funny and left a mark on our world.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 4th at 11 am at Our Lady of the Cape Church, Stony Brook Rd., Brewster.
