Attilio Hoxha, 21

Worcester - Attilio Hoxha, 21, of Worcester and Connecticut, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018, four days before his 22nd birthday.

Attilio leaves his parents, Enkelejd "Leo" and Domenica (Cosentino) Hoxha of Worcester; his brother, Davide Hoxha; his sister, Denise Hoxha, both of Worcester; his girlfriend, Desire D'Ambrogio of Cromwell, CT; his maternal grandmother, Natalina Olivieri wife of the late, Demetrio Cosentino of Palmi, Italy; his paternal grandparents, Besim and Liri Hoxha of Worcester; aunts, Silvana Sherifi of Boston and Anunziata Cosentino in Italy; uncles, Altin Hoxha in Albania, Nino Cosentino, Demetrio Cosentino, and Cosimo Cosentino, all in Italy; many cousins, and friends. He was born in Palmi, Calabria, Italy.

Attilio graduated from South High School and Quinsigamond Community College, both in Worcester. He was currently a student at University of Connecticut in Hartford, where he was studying architectural engineering. Attilio loved his family and had a special connection with his girlfriend; he also enjoyed his many friends and his beloved German Shepard, Lucy. He loved his motorcycle and loved going on rides with his "millions" of friends.

In his sister's words… "Every weekend he came home he would wake me up no matter what time it was, whether it was 6am or 1pm and ask me to go to inhouse with him; of course, I couldn't say "no" because he always paid for me, so why say no to free food?"

He wanted to pursue a career in the medical field after college, and was a volunteer at the Hartford Hospital in CT. He would come home bragging that he felt like he was going to be a doctor and shared of himself at the hospital. He always put others first and made sure everyone else was happy before thinking about himself.

Attilio was a student in my composition class two years ago. He was a promising young man with a ready smile and a kind word for everyone. Looking back at his writing (something I normally do to write a letter of recommendation, not a message of condolence), I see how very much he loved his extended family and how much he was beloved. His family, indeed everyone whose life he touched, has suffered a deep loss. Rest In Peace, Attilio.

Very sorry for your loss. I did not know Attilio personally but I remember his face well and I would often see him on campus at Quinsigamond Community College. It is always so tragic to hear of the passing of someone so young and full of life. My condolences to your family during this difficult time.

I am so very sorry for this tragic loss. Attilio was a very special person, so sincere, so gracious, so loving. He showed my niece Desire how a special woman should be treated and they were inseperable. It was so nice to see two special people in love and being there for each other. Attilio was very sincere with everyone and very respectful to everyone. He put others first before himself. I will always remember Attilio and will never be forgotten. Such a tragic for such a young man with a great future ahead of him to be taken away so soon of his life. May he rest in peace and may the family and Desi find comfort in the happy memories he left behind. My Sincere Condolences and prayers go out to the family, Desi and friends who were very close to him.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't even know this kid and I cried when I read his obituary. I cried because it saddens me to see all these young lives gone, gone to soon. God must of been in the need for an angel. So He took him. May he Rest In Peace, and may you all find comfort in your memories of him. So very sorry for your loss.
