Barbara Hynes Obituary

Barbara Hoey Hynes 87

WORCESTER - Barbara passed away after a decade long battle with Alzheimer. She leaves he loving husband John Hynes (Jack) after 62 years together, her daughter Suzanne Gentile of Holden, her son Stephen predeceased her in 2012. Also a sister Patricia Balcom of Holden, son-in-law John Gentile and daughter-in-law Robin Hynes, grandchildren John, Jake, and Ryan McGreevy, Brooke McGreevy Baron, Casey and Kerry Hynes and 2 great grandchildren Aiden and Mason. She was a true mother of the 50's devoted to her family, she was generous in all aspects of her life, kind in heart and spirit and loved god. She had a wonderful joy of life, laughter and gardening was her passion. I would like to add a special thanks to Knollwood Nursing Center for making my mothers two last years feel like home and family. I would like to thank everyone at Knollwood who took the time to call her by name and offer her a moment of kindness from the kitchen, laundry, housekeeping, nurses, activities, social workers, maintenance , receptionist, directors,and mostly the CNA and family member of other patients, who without their compassion we couldn't have made it. Barbara has chosen to donate her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at U Mass. Any memorial donations can be made to the Knollwood Staff Appreciation Fund 87 Briarwood Circle Worc. Ma 01606. There are no services, please remember her in your heart.
